Our New House!

Well, we did it. We bought a house. It's been a month since we moved in and we've made tons of changes. Although the house wasn't in terrible shape, it was in need of some serious updating. I haven't figured out a very convenient way to share photos in a "Before & After" sequence so you'll just have to hang with me until I can figure it out.

It took a lot of long nights and we are still working hard to make it our own. I've compiled a list of the changes we have made.

1. Pulled all the carpeting and padding
2. Primed & painted all walls
3. Ripped out all base boards & door trim
4. Primed & painted kitchen cabinets
5. Primted & painted kitchen walls (which still isn't finished because red takes forever to get right)
6. Built privacy fence on north side of home
7. Sanded & stained all wood flooring
8. Installed new front & back storm/security doors
9. Installed new electrical outlets and switch plates
10. Installed new thermostat
11. Planted a garden

I'm sure there are more but... I really can't think of anything else at this time. We did a little bit of landscaping but we would like to add on the front deck before we add any more flowers, etc. We plan on painting the house soon and adding a deck to the back as well.
